A-Aqua, together with tent supplier ROFI, shipped some of our newest and most innovative products to Brindisi to allow the team at the UNHRD Lab have a play around with the equipment and test it effectiveness for use in WFP projects in the field. A-Aqua appreciated the opportunity to display the equipment and receive valuable feedback from the engineers at the facility. You can read more about the UNHRD Lab here: UNHRD Fact Sheet.

Demo models of the VacuSan™ and EmWat1000™ units were set up and used by the UNHRD Lab team and also a visiting group of logisticians who were at the facility for a Logistics Cluster Training.
A-Aqua is looking forward to getting some detailed feedback on the units. Feedback based on real user’s experience in a simulated field situation. This feedback is especially useful since A-Aqua recently redesigned the cabinets to enable to entire kit to be packed on only 3 euro pallets. This change will reduce the production and shipping costs associated with this kit.
The VacuSan™ Unit packed and ready for shipment.
The VacuSan™ is an advanced, but simple to use, toilet solution for staff camps and medical centres in the field. It has been designed based on real field experience and has been deployed to Haiti, the Philippines, Nepal and most recently Ecuador.
A-Aqua has also developed a new sludge treatment system for the treatment of sludge from the VacuSan™ Unit. The Hygieniser100™ is now also available to organisations globally. More information on this unit can be found here: Hygieniser100 Fact Sheet
